Caribbean Board of Directors

VATCARs 1,2, and 3 serve as the Caribbean Divisions Board of Directors. Although VATCAR1 is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the division, all divisional policies, procedures, and operational changes are discussed and approved by divisional board members. At times, additional VATCAR staff members may be invited to participate in the voting process as policy changes may directly affect the member’s operational areas of responsibility, or if the member can provide additional context to the board.

Caribbean Senior Staff

Senior staff members are tasked with maintaining an online presence across all VATCAR platforms. Senior staff members are the backbone of our daily operations as they provide a direct link between the controller on the scope, and the resulting actions we must take in order to maintain a safe and friendly environment.  Senior staff members keep us all connected and informed when promotions, events, exams, and other activities are taking place.

Caribbean Air Traffic Managers

Air Traffic Managers (ATM) handle the day-to-day operations of the Caribbean Sub-Divisions. To name a few things, ATMs are tasked with managing staff, training controllers, evaluating rating advancements, and handling conflicts that may arise in a facility.  Air Traffic Managers report directly to the Caribbean Deputy Director.

The following Flight Information Regions (FIRs) are managed by the VATCAR Divisional team: the Port-Au-Prince FIR, and the Santo Domingo FIR.
